Just like when I was 4.
You taught me the simplest chords
when I was little and nothing more.
Now that I have learned guitar on my own.
I wonder if I could learn any '80s Chinese songs
If u were here to teach me.
You used to tie my shoelaces for me,
and I learned to do that by watching you doing.
Now I still tie my shoelaces the way you did.
Sometimes you told me bedtime stories
when I had trouble sleeping.
And I still always read on my bed.
There were times when I was left out alone at school.
No one remembered to pick me up.
I wish u had shown up at the gate.
I wish I didn't have to stare at the sky painted darker for hours.
When we still lived together,
we used to draw on one of our walls side-by-side.
I wonder if we would still make art together if you were here.
